Puncture Queries
Why is my Airpro® iSUP deflating?

Firstly, ensure all air valves are securely fastened to rule out the air isn’t escaping from there.

It could be caused by a puncture so look to identify where the air is escaping from. If you are struggling to locate a puncture, we recommend using washing up liquid diluted in water and wetting your inflated Airpro® iSUP. The escaping air should cause visible bubbles making it clear where the puncture is located.

How do I repair a puncture in my Airpro® iSUP?

You should not attempt to repair large damaged sections by yourself. You can repair small areas with the repair kit included with your Airpro® iSUP.

1. Deflate the iSUP completely and clean the area to be repaired thoroughly. Roughen up the damaged are surrounding the hole or tear with a fine sand paper.
2. Cut a patch to cover the damaged area. The patch should overlap the damaged are by at least 1.25cm on all sides.
3. Apply a high strength glue to the iSUP as well as to the patch and allow to dry for approx. 5 minutes.
4. Press the patch down firmly using a soft cloth. Make sure that you are working on a flat, even surface. Remove any air bubbles with a rounded object, gently pushing the bubbles in an outward direction.
5. Always wait at least 24 hours after a repair before inflating your Airpro® iSUP again.
– PERFORM ALL REPAIRS IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA.
– AVOID INHALING GLUE VAPOURS.
– AVOID CONTACT WITH SKIN AND EYES.
– KEEP ALL REPAIR MATERIALS (GLUE, SOLVENTS ETC.) OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

Maintenance

How do I clean my Airpro® iSUP?

Clean your Airpro® iSUP thoroughly after each use. We advise you use, fresh, clean water and a mild soap to remove any salt crystal, sandy granules or other dirt particles, and rinse thoroughly. Leave your Airpro® iSUP to dry completely before packing away.

How do I pack my Airpro® iSUP away?

To pack your Airpro® iSUP away, we advise-

1. Ensure you have cleaned your Airpro® and it has dried completely- Whenever you take your board out of the water and deflate it, allow time for it to air out and dry. Neither the skin/hull or the inside of the chambers will suffer from water damage, but stagnant water could cause mildew and a foul odour.
2. Deflate your Airpro® iSUP by removing the stoppers from each valve and remove all the air.
3. Carefully roll the iSUP from the front removing any remaining air in the process.
4. Ensure the iSUP is not wrinkled and lays flat.

Where should I store my Airpro® iSUP when I’m not using it?

Store your Airpro® iSUP in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight and somewhere where there are no great temperature fluctuations.

What other tips would you advise to help keep my Airpro® iSUP in tip-top condition?

Additional care advise:
• All inflatables are sensitive to cold. Your Airpro® iSUP should never be unfolded and inflated at a temperature under 7°C.
• Try not to leave your Airpro® iSUP out in direct sunlight. However, if you are out on your iSUP and the day is sunny and hot, the atmospheric pressure inside can increase, so this must be compensated by releasing some air from the craft.
• Try to ensure your Airpro® iSUP (particularly when inflated) does not come into contact with stones, gravel or sharp objects and that it is not dragged or pulled along the ground because this could damage the iSUPs skin.
• Only insert suitable pump adaptors into the valves. The wrong type of pump can damage the valves.

WARNING!
– Your care and self-assessment on the water is extremely important. Never over-estimate your power and steering skills! Remain close to the shore! Keep a constant eye on the weather, storm warning and possible flare signals!

– Please always follow the safety regulations and laws applicable to lakes and open water and for your own safety, always wear a tested life jacket or Personal Floatation Device. We recommend the use of a Board Vest with your iSUP as they are not as low in the back as a PFD.

– Wear a helmet where appropriate.

– Ensure to use the tie leash where appropriate.

– Never allow children to play unsupervised with the packaging materials or the product itself.

– Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity. Regardless of the number of persons/luggage on board, the total weight must not exceed the maximum stated weight capacity.

– If a person happens to have fallen overboard, their rescue must take place via the front or rear of the craft. Re-entry at the side can cause the craft to capsize.

– Be cautious in offshore winds and currents.

– Please note that the weight of the occupants of the iSUPs, as well as any luggage must be uniformly distributed otherwise the iSUP can capsize.

– Follow the information on the type plate regarding the permitted weight allowance and number of occupants as well as the warning information.

– Always keep to the local navigation regulations.

– Do not carry any sharp or pointed objects.

– Your iSUP should be protected against contact with dubious liquids or acids to avoid irreparable damage.

– Protect your iSUP against heat and fire. Do not smoke on or around your iSUP!

– Make sure you do not run aground on stony subsoil to avoid damage to the underside of the iSUP.

– Never transport your iSUP in a vehicle whilst inflated.

– Never leave your iSUP unoccupied on the water as it can be swept away faster than you can swim after it!

– Always carry the paddle with you when using your iSUP, otherwise you will not be able to manoeuvre it.

– Do not attempt to make any technical changes to your iSUP. Changes of any kind can compromise the operation of the iSUP.

– Never use your iSUP under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medicinal products.

– Never overestimate your own strength! Divide your muscular strength with the paddle in such a way that the distance you have paddled away from the shore can be easily paddled back again. Stay in protected coastal areas, no more than 300m away and pay attention to varying winds and currents which can impact on your movement.
